# How to cancel an Apple subscription on iPhone, Mac or the web

To cancel an Apple subscription on iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, pick the subscription and tap Cancel Subscription. If there's no Cancel button, or you see an expiration date in red, it's already cancelled and you'll keep access until that date.

## Cancel on iPhone or iPad

- Open **Settings** and tap your name at the top.
- Tap **Subscriptions**.
- Tap the subscription you want to end.
- Tap **Cancel Subscription**. You may need to scroll down to find it.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Apple keeps billing until you cancel here.

## Cancel on the web (any device)

- Go to [account.apple.com subscriptions](https://account.apple.com/account/manage/section/subscriptions) and sign in with your Apple Account.
- Pick the subscription and choose Cancel Subscription.

This is the fastest route if you're on a Windows PC or an Android phone.

## Cancel on a Mac

- Open the **App Store** and click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Click your name again on the page that opens, then sign in if asked.
- Click **Subscriptions**, pick the subscription, and click **Cancel Subscription**.

## If the subscription isn't in the list

- **Search your email** for "receipt from Apple" or "invoice from Apple" and check which Apple Account the receipt names. Sign in to that account to cancel.
- **A family member's account on the receipt?** Only they can cancel it.
- **No Apple receipt at all?** You're billed by another company. Look at your bank or card statement to see who, and cancel with them directly.

> 💡 On a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends or Apple will charge the first paid period.

## Find every subscription, not just the Apple ones

Apple's screen only shows what's billed through your Apple Account. Netflix on your credit card, your gym and anything paid through PayPal won't be there. impause connects to your bank and cards, finds every recurring charge, flags the ones you haven't used, and cancels them when you tap approve. ## Frequently asked questions

### Do I get a refund when I cancel an Apple subscription?

Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. For a refund on a charge you didn't mean to make, request one at [reportaproblem.apple.com](http://reportaproblem.apple.com/).

### Why can't I see Subscriptions in my iPhone settings?

Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account that was used to subscribe. If you use more than one Apple Account, sign in to the other one and check again.

### Does deleting an app cancel its subscription?

No. You have to cancel in Settings or on [account.apple.com](http://account.apple.com/), or you'll keep being charged.
