# How to cancel a Google Play subscription

To cancel a Google Play subscription, go to [play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions](https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions), select the subscription and tap Cancel subscription, then follow the prompts. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

## Cancel on an Android phone or tablet

- Open the **Google Play** app and make sure you're signed in to the Google Account that has the subscription.
- Tap your profile picture, then **Payments and subscriptions**, then **Subscriptions**. (Or open [subscriptions in Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions) directly.)
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap **Cancel subscription** and follow the instructions.

## Cancel on a computer

- Go to [play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions](https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions) and sign in.
- Find the subscription and click **Cancel subscription**.

## Pause instead of cancel

Some apps let you pause for one week to three months. In the subscription, tap **Manage**, then **Pause payments**, choose the period and confirm. Useful if you'll be back, but set a reminder: it restarts on its own.

## If you can't find the subscription

- **Wrong account.** Subscriptions follow the Google Account, not the phone. Switch accounts in the Play Store and check again.
- **Billed somewhere else.** If you subscribed on the company's website, it won't show in Google Play. Check your card statement to see who bills you and cancel with them.

> 💡 On a payment plan you've already been charged for, you can stop it renewing, but you still owe the remaining payments on the current plan.

## Find every subscription in one place

Google Play only sees what it bills. impause connects to your bank and cards, finds every recurring charge across every account, flags what you haven't used, and cancels it when you tap approve.
