# How to cancel a Roku subscription (Roku subscription manager guide)

To cancel a subscription billed through Roku, open the Roku subscription manager at [my.roku.com/subscriptions](https://my.roku.com/subscriptions), select it under Active subscriptions, choose Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew. One catch: Disney+, Hulu and Sling TV have to be cancelled with those companies directly, even when Roku is the one charging you.

## Cancel on the Roku website

- Go to [my.roku.com/subscriptions](https://my.roku.com/subscriptions) and sign in.
- Under **Active subscriptions**, select the subscription.
- Select **Manage subscription**, then **Turn off auto-renew**.

You keep access until the current billing cycle ends.

## Cancel with your Roku remote

- Press **Home**.
- Highlight the app's tile using the arrow buttons. (Use the Apps row; Quick Access won't show the option.)
- Press the **Star** button.
- Select **Manage subscription**, then **Turn off auto-renew**.
- Enter your Roku PIN if you set one for purchases.

## Disney+, Hulu and Sling TV billed through Roku

Roku processes the charge, but these services manage the subscription. Cancel with them:

- [Disney+ help](https://help.disneyplus.com/), 888-905-7888
- [Hulu help](https://help.hulu.com/), 877-824-4858
- [Sling TV help](https://www.sling.com/help/en), 888-394-6698

If they ask for your CIB (Customer Identifier for Billing), it's on your Roku invoice.

## Subscribed directly with the streaming service?

If you signed up on Netflix, YouTube TV, Spotify or Apple TV's own site or app, Roku can't cancel it. Cancel through that service. Charges billed by Roku show on your statement as "Roku", "Roku for ..." or "The Roku Channel".

> 💡 Roku doesn't give partial refunds. Cancel free trials before they end, and cancel paid plans close to the renewal date so you get the full period.

## Catch the ones billed everywhere else

Your TV subscriptions are spread across Roku, app stores and your card. impause connects to your bank and cards, finds every recurring charge, flags the ones you haven't watched, and cancels them when you tap approve. ## Frequently asked questions

### How do I know if Roku is billing me?

Check [my.roku.com/subscriptions](http://my.roku.com/subscriptions). If it's listed there, Roku bills it. On your statement, look for "Roku" or "The Roku Channel".

### I turned off auto-renew and I'm still being charged. Why?

You're charged until the billing cycle ends. If charges continue after that, review your Roku purchase history and contact Roku support, or the streaming service if it's Disney+, Hulu or Sling.

### Does removing the channel cancel the subscription?

No. Turn off auto-renew first, then remove the app if you want.
